They played 4 new songs...
2 of which were decent and good Wintersleep songs - 'Better Half' and 'Sante Fe', and I can't remember the name's of the other two (maybe they weren't even introduced...), but I remember the final two songs absolutely rocked and sent the audience (or maybe just myself) into a rock n roll trance.

Only 3 songs from Hello Hum, nothing from New Inheritors (which is a shame... Echolocation may be my favourite Wintersleep song, and Trace Decay should be in every set), and then classics from the first 3 albums.

You know...
Orca, Caliber, Jaws of Life, Danse Macabre. all the typicals.

I grew up with the boys from Paper Lions, great guys! I didn't catch them this time around, but did see John MacPhee (their lead singer) at a songwriters circle a couple of weeks ago in Georgetown, PEI. It was hosted by Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo, and featured Island acts such as John, Meaghan Blanchard, Catherine MacLellan, etc. We left very impressed.

After a very busy February concert wise, I currently have nothing on the horizon. Anxiously waiting for Charlottetown's Big Red Music Festival to be announced, as well as the other concert being held on the new event grounds.

I'm planning on getting some passes for a few festivals this summer... Usually of the "hippie" variety lol.

Just outside of Fredericton in Gagetown, NB - FollyFest... amazingly well organized. The whole tiny town opens up its doors and hearts to an amazing festival with local acts, up-and-comers, and a few headliners as well: Here's a look at 2013:

Sam Roberts Band, 3-28-14, Grand Rapids, MI

SRB performed in a small club for about 200+ fans. Many of the people in attendance made the 2 hour drive from the Detroit/Windsor area to see the show. Regardless of where the fans were from, the crowd was knowledgeable of all the band's material, singing along with the old and new material. Sam and his band gave an energetic performance.
