i just noticed the email, the paragraph says now for plan A then above the track listing its "and now for plan A" lol.
When i first saw the album cover i thought it was funny given the album name. I like it but then again im baked.
at transformation to me i always liked it. Streets Ahead is basically "meh". good drumms though go johnny boy.

The rational side of me says "WTF is this?" I mean seriously, that's a Tragically Hip album cover? I don't know man. That's totally not what I expected.

But on the other hand it's not a bad piece of art. It's well done and everything....for a pop band.

You know i'm liking Streets Ahead a lot more today. I guess it needed a few listens. I love how it gets intense at the end.

As far as the cover goes, I hated it at first, but it's growing on me too. I think it will go down as one of their most memorable covers because of the controversy that it brings. I like how it's retro and how it really makes you think about what it means. I'm pretty curious about the lyrics for "Now for Plan A" to see if it reflects the cover at all.

I also want to point out that "Now For Plan A" is only the second song ever that has the very same name as the album it's on. (Music @ Work came close) - The first time being Fully Completely. ...And that cover is sort of sexual too. Curious.

Also....terrible cover art on this IMHO. Not that it really matters to most folks, but this just seems cheesy to me, as the hip usually have cool, interesting artwork (post UTH at least)

I like Streets Ahead, it sounds much better in the studio. Hopefully "We Want To Be It" is the new name for Drip. It would be a huge disappointment for me if that was left off. As for the cover, not a big fan but i could care less what's on the cover. Like evaluating people it's what's inside that counts lol.

i'm liking Streets Ahead as well

it will be interesting to see if Gord can carry that extended tone live .I really like it in this mix

It's funny that those on the 'Base and in the media have been citing 'Plan A' as a return to the Hip's roots and then we get an album cover that is an absolute departure from anything that's come before. I like that about it.

That being said, place my tick in the 'love it' column for this cover art — love the fact that it's polarizing, in a sense—because of the expectations it sets or destroys. It's interesting how cover art serves as a visual identity for the music that's contained within it. The art for "Day For Night" suited it perfectly. The aggressiveness of the collage on "Fully Completely" served the tone and tenor of that album, too. Lots of examples in the Hip's catalogue, for certain. If that's the case, I'm interested in seeing how 'Plan A' comes together as an album.

The first two singles and this album art have served to set expectations — October 2 can't come soon enough.
