4th row in Kitchener!! Best seats I've scored yet.
All the seats at Massey Hall are good. I once lined up till 4am outside massey hall for "nose-bleed" tickets to see the hip....on a school night!!

If you claimed your spot up front early before the floor got crowded, you don't have a damn thing to be sorry about. First-come, first-served.
If the floor is crowded at the front when you arrive and more sparse towards the back, then yes -- you should probably stand behind the crowded part instead of wedging your way in front of smaller folk, if you care whether people like me see you as self-centered dick. Again - first-come, first-served.
In any case, when walk onto the floor and pick a spot to stand that's in front of smaller people, all it takes is to turn around and ask "
am I blocking your view?" For me, just the act of showing an ounce of consideration for others is enough.

Thanks
Basically you're in the second row of the 2nd balcony. Personally I don't mind it, I'm sitting up there for one Massey show, and on the floor for another. If you're only going to one show, I'd give those up if you can get floors in the first 10 or so rows, but otherwise I'd probably stay up top.

If you're in the middle of the floor and there's a gap between you and the person in front of you, that spot is up for grabs. If you don't want it to be taken, then move up closer to the person in front of you (It's GA, it's going to get packed anyway). If however you're already reasonably close to the person in front of you, and someone still "wedges" into that spot, then I agree, that's a dick move.

This site is pretty cool - it gives you the view from your section when you click on the individual sections:

4 for Boston, at $32 each, 2 for Detroit at $45 each, all GA so I can be as close as I want.
I can travel to those shows cheaper than going to the Massey Hall Shows

Fifth row at Massey Hall on the Friday.
I'm happier than a pig in sh*t.

I just got my tix a little while ago, to all 3 Ottawa shows.
Sat. - Orchestra D
Sun. - Balcony C
Mon. - Balcony E
Good enough for me. Although, with these tickets and having to spend nearly 9 bills fixing my car, my credit card is absolutely on FIRE right now. Guess you could say I'm providing my own stimulus package to the economy!

I used to take issue with it when it happened, but experience has taught me that if Sasquatch doesn't understand that wedging his Chewbacca-ass directly in front of a 5'8" dude is a dick-move, he usually doesn't feel obliged to relocate upon civil request.
Well the thing is, no matter where us tall folk stand, we're going to be blocking someone. I do feel bad about it, but not so bad that I'd want to move to the very back of the room...
Could not agree more!

I've been stuck working late night shifts temporarily so I get home at 4am, and I missed thehip.com presale for Seattle yesterday. By the time I woke up the seats available were in row Z. I was going to just go for the public on sale, but later yesterday I got an email from the venue for their special presale. Even though I got to bed late again, I set my alarm this time to try for the new presale. When 10am came, their presale code "stg" didn't work, so around 10:04am I tried putting in the hip code "same". Not only did that work, but it gave me 2nd row seats! I'm so excited, I haven't seen the boys since Denver in 2002, and since I'll be introducing the live experience of the Hip to my girlfriend for the first time, I can't think of a better way!

So Yesterday for the Hip.com presale we ended up getting Show 3 in Kitchener Section A row 1 in the seats not the floor
So Today we go to Dave FM radio site and do the presale and get Show 1 Kitchener Row L floors.
Im thinking tomorrow during the general public we might get backstage passes for show 2. hehehehehehe

I'm short too, but if it's a small venue it's not usually a problem. The big outdoor festival shows are the absolute worst in regards to being short. I hate it.
I'm 5'4", but combat that by getting to the front. Both Hip concerts I've been to have been outdoor festivals, and front row both times. It was so worth waiting 5+ hours and listening to a lot of crappy opening bands.
