I saw an interesting bit of info on 'The Score' the other day.
Anaheim, Buffalo, Carolina, and Edmonton were the teams that had the fewest players that participated in the recent Torino Olympics.
Coincidence or not?

whoah...
Heatley drives like a maniac and kills his friend in the process, Bertuzzi punches a guy in the heat of the moment playing a game, and Bertuzzi's the idiot
cratch: ? i think you better rethink that one tiger.
I wasn't comparing the acts of both men. I was saying Heatley should have been loyal to the Thrashers and used Bertuzzi as an example of someone who went through something, (which I never said was anywhere near as bad as Heatley's act by the way) was supported by his team and DIDN'T ASK TO BE TRADED. I thought Bertuzzi deserved maybe a 10 game suspension but he's still an idiot.
BTW, why no mention of Roloson? He's been everything the Oilers hoped for and MORE. Regardless of whether they get past the Ducks, I think it's safe to say it was a great deadline move by the Oil.

For sure, he's playing great!
Some are too busy eatin' crow to mention his name.

do you know him personally? I suppose you've never made a mistake, and your shit doesn't stink either?

You REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want him in Montreal don't ya? I hope he does get traded somewhere. I've made many mistakes but I haven't stolen paycheques like Bertuzzi. I've worked hard at all the jobs I've worked. Bertuzzi took many nights off in Vancouver without giving a full effort. Besides his loafing, he has a history of dumb acts throughout his hockey career, beginning in junior. He has a history of getting dumb penalties at the worst times of games to put his team in precarious situations.

so you don't like the guy, we get it...
and i don't want him in Montreal, he's too slow for the style of hockey they play...unless we can trade Radek Bonk for him, then I'd be fine with it.

From WBEN.com
"Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Good news for Sabres fans with basic cable. Adelphia has announced all round three games will be on basic cable.
Adelphia GM Tom Haywood tells NewsRadio 930 WBEN he was shocked to learn just this morning from CBC, the network would only air a few of the games.
OLN has exclusive U. S. cable rights to round three, but is only available on the digital tier. Only ten percent of Adelphia subscribers have digital cable. But Haywood says the network will be moved to basic channel 71 for games two through seven.
NBC has Saturday's game one."
So all I have to do is unplug my digital box? Not too bad of a trade off if I do say so myself. They also failed mention that you have to have UPGRADED digital cable to get OLN, not basic (no movie channels) digital.

For us canucks, we get every game dont we between TSN and CBC?
-
The Darkest Canuck - 05-18-2006
yup, that's because we actually like hockey up here, instead of just pretending to like it when our teams are winning
oh yeah, that's right, i said it.

Roloson has been great in the playoffs and is a big, big reason why the Oilers are still in contention, and for all the doubters (and they're were many) that said Lowe traded for the wrong goaltender, well i don't here too many of them saying such now. It goes beyond just Dwayne Roloson though, Kevin Lowe has made a number of great moves to help put the Oilers in the position they are in right now. It all starts with trading for Chris Pronger in the summer. He's been a rock for them and if they can go the distance will definitely get serious consideration for the Conn Smyth. Mike Peca was another great pickup. Overall he had an up & down first season in Edmonton, but he's picked up his game as the playoffs have gone on & he was the best player on the ice last night. Then moving ahead to the trade deadline, Jaroslav Spacek, Dick Tarnstrom, Sergei Samsonov and Dwayne Roloson! Great job by Kevin & co.!

Since OLN is the American rights holder and many people down here in Buffalo do not get it - most planned on switching to CBC to watch games 2-7.
This morning CBC announced they were not carrying Sabres games 2, 6 and 7.
I am not sure about TSN though.
