Cool Jamie. Needed another dose of Maritimes hospitality eh? Smile
It will be a great time.

- Booking my flight to Halifax - $394
- Rory does me a favor and buys my ticket for the show - $35
- Food and drinks for the weekend - $100

Getting Picked up at the airport by Rory's fiance Brandy at 10:51pm the night before the big event; Driving three hours to Chalorttetown with 3 great friends to see the hip, sam roberts & matt Mays, video taping the show, a couch to sleep on after the concert - PRICELESS

The Maritimes hospitality is great. I always get treated top notch and appreciate all of it. Thank you!!!

Jamie

July 2nd show is kinda sketchy, a whole lot of crap that night

- ryan93 - 05-24-2006

Yeah i was very, very disappointed with the July 2nd concert. I was planning all along on buying a weekend passport, but not now, just June 30th for me.

Other Hip notes...gates open at 4pm, concert to start to 5:30.

- highlander - 05-24-2006

Someone is welcome to my ticket for the Sunday July 2nd show as I won't be using it.

- tigerthelion - 05-24-2006

I guess they spent their entire budget on The Hip because that's really the only logical explanation for such a crappy July 2 show.

Jamie, when are you leaving on July 1st? Joel Plaskett is playing for FREE that day! :thumb:

As far as how many people are at the concert, I'd say Ryan is pretty close. I'd say maybe 10,000 or so but I could be way off. There are a lot of people but it's difficult to tell audience size outdoors.

I fly home at 5:10pm on the 1st to spend Sunday and Monday with my girlfriend.

I don't mind missing the free Plaskett show as I'm seeing him tomorrow night at the Phoenix in Toronto.

I see, I see. Well, enjoy the show tomorrow night. Big Grin

hmmm, here's the scoop

atlantic superstore only sells 'passports' meaning more expensive/ticket for that crap show on sunday, the nice lady at the superstore said that tim horton's will be selling tix for individual shows but when i asked about em there they said something like "we havent heard anything yet"

*get's real nervous due to lack of credit card to purchase on phone/online*

Kleh, how many tickets do you need? The next time I'm in Charlottetown, I could pick up a few tics for the June 30 show.

hey man, i'd need a few  but i think it'll be ok, i'm just panicking since they went on sale today & remembering how hard it was to get em last time they were on the island, stood outside in the freezing cold for hours one saturday morning!

just hoping tim ho's gets their act together before/if it sells out

I don't see it selling out, not for a few weeks anyway. I still can't believe how weak the lineup is for July 2nd. Confusedhock:
