Saw the new movie yesterday at a private screening for my work.
Was not impressed. I'm not the biggest X-Men fan, but have seen the other two movies which were much better.
Save your money and wait for the DVD.
Thanks for the tip - I'll wait until it's on HBO or something. But I do have to ask, because it really would be worth the price of admission, by any chance does Kelsey Grammar sing 'Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs' while in his mutant form?
oh how I wish.......that would make it worth the cost of the ticket.
he actually isn't too bad in it. but the rest of the actors seem really bored.
they are really phoning it in.
Noooooooooooooooo please dont say that. I have been looking forward to this for months. Is it as bad as the 3rd Matrix? I'm still not over that piece of shit.
Well I just pre-bought a ticket for tonight's showing so I guess I will give a second opinion. I really liked the first two movies and even though I wasn't really into the comic books, I went to high school with Shawn Ashmore (Ice Man, Bobby Baker) and I want to show my support.
I went to see it tonight... for the half of it I was enjoying it and wondering why everyone hated it... and then by the time it ended all I felt was crippling dissapointment. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
Saw this flick yesterday... I thought it was really good. I found it to be quite intense in some scenes. I found Ian McKellen to be particularly mesmerizing in the film. For those of you that have yet to see it: MAKE SURE YOU STAY UNTIL THE END OF THE CREDITS!! There is an additional scene that will blow you away!
All in all, good film... maybe not the best of the three, but here's hoping there's another one!

Seems like some negative hype. Really too bad. I'm so not into those kinds of movies, but I thought the first two were excellent. I was really looking forward to seeing it. Think I'll still go.
Spiderman 3 should be better than X-3...

IMO the X-Men animated series is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the movies, and i would be very interested in owning the complete series on dvd.
when is the expected release for Spiderman 3?
Finally saw it yesterday, and I thought it was pretty decent. Not as excellent as X2, but still very entertaining. Apparently the next movie is going to be a Wolverine spin-off film. Looks like Hugh Jackman has already signed on:

So what happens with Jean Grey?
I think it was awesome. The characters are all coming into shape and of age, and I thought all the twists and turns kept you in the movie until the end.
As for the scene at the end of the movie, and at the end of the credits, it kinda seems that the end results cancelled out the whole point of the movie, but it was entertaining none the less.
There's nothing wrong with this movie that a good screenwriter couldn't fix.

My main concern with the movie was there were too many lines that were supposed to be serious, but actually caused me to laugh because they were just that poorly written.

But it was still an entertaining flick.
Went to see this last weekend as I suggested above. I liked it however I don't think it is up to the standards of the first two. I wonder if that has anything to do with Bryan Singer not being on this project?

I missed the scene after the credits, anyone care to PM me what happened so we don't spoil it for the rest?
