That's a cool promo. Free tickets. I used to watch the Fredericton Candiens for $8 a night, sometimes primo seats too. Those were the good old days. :thumb: Seeing Moose Morrissette battle Ryan Vandenbusche or Moose battle Frederick Oduya or Sylvain Blouin tangle with Rocky Thompson or the classic Moose/Rocky fights, or watch Aaron Downie when he played for Providence stirring things up with Moose or DJ Smith and Darcy Harris or Blouin and Greg Smyth......or having the trainer for Providence throw gum at the row behind the bench....

I miss the SJ Flames Rocky Thompson! There's a name I haven't heard in a while.
Some other "Saint John" hockey stars that went on to do nothing (maybe a 4th liner in the NHL) that come to mind are:
Sami Helenius
Jarrod Skalde
Marty Murray
and some REAL no names came through Saint John as well:
JS Giguere
Dwayne Roloson
Corey Stillman (He's been to my house before!)
Also, I remember cheering for some St. Louis guy, can't remember his first name though.

I saw Martin St Louis with the Flames and he's come a long way since then. He was fast as hell but was sooooo small. I remember Aaron Asham played like a coward with the Baby Habs but now with the Islanders, he's a fighter. Funny stuff. I remember Wade Belak cheap shotting Eric Houde one game. haha. Martin Gendron was the star of Fredericton when I saw the team play.

Rocky is one of my brother's favourite players. Is he playing this season? I remember seeing him on the Mike Bullard Show a few years ago and watching him play for the Roadrunners.
