Has anyone heard any of Finger Eleven's forthcoming album yet? I just checked out the bands revamped website and I though I was listening to the Killers at first.. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.fingereleven.com/">http://www.fingereleven.com/</a><!-- m --> It ended up not being a bad song, I had to take a few listens to start digging it.

FM96 has been playing there new song, Paralyzer, a lot. I'm liking it. It's alot more of a dancy, pop, kinda rock song...Not to bad!
as long as they don't release anything that sounds like "One Thing", haha...
it'd be nice if they went back to the heavier approach they used to have, but w/e, the new song sounds better than anything from the last album IMO, at least it sounds like they're trying something new.

F11 was pretty weak, I will most likely pick up the new album hoping it will be much better than the last.
Finally got the new album, just gave it a once through and I have to say I dont mind the new approach. I think they pull it off and it works well for them. I do prefer their heavier stuff like Tip and Greyest..but like most bands today they have to roll with the times. I think we can thank The Killers, Franz Ferdinand et al.. for that.

I think that Me vs. You vs. Them is a brilliant career move. Any time an "alternative" rock band can get their song played in the clubs, you know you've made it. That being said, I think this move is even better, because they seem to do it without alienating their current fans.
We'll see how it all plays out.
I remember seeing this band live way back in the early 90s when they were originally called the Rainbow Butt Monkeys. I think the best career move they ever made was changing their name.
The album's about half terrible, about half decent. Radio-ready "One Thing" wannabes plus a few rock tracks to keep the long-time fans in check. There's a strong (and completely random) classic rock sound to a lot of the songs, as well, which sort of throws me. There's no way I'll buy this, but I'll keep some of it on my hard drive for awhile.
So far I am pretty disappointed with this album. I don't care for the change personally and wish it were more heavy. It feels like they made every song with the intention of it having a shot at radio play. Oh well. It may grow on me. I will give it time.
