aggravating.
Because perhaps it's not always easy for him to keep up with changes when he's out on tour with the band taking photos/filming etc etc. He's a busy guy - Give him a break.
Besides, pretty much everything gets reported here, so it's still quite easy to keep track of things.
I think mav does a great job - just a few years back all news was reported here before thehip.com as it was rarely updated - Mav has done an amazing job with it

Ah....remotely updating a web page isn't rocket science. Once the remote access to the server has been established, updates should only take a few minutes. The setlists are updated from the road, so obviously someone is doing something. Not everyone knows about this site. Eeveryone can assume thehip.com exists.
man...people around here are touchy

No, it's just that they get defensive when people start ragging on The Hip's webmaster, who is doing an exceptional job considering how busy he is, for not keeping up with their preferred timeline.
I'm sure MAv's been given instruction as to when to update thehip.com for certain. Although some other websites may allready have posted concert dates, there's probably a set announcement date for thehip.com, regardless of when other sites post dates.

Thanks Sean. :rambo:
Forgive my blatant disregard for the English language. I'm semi-sick.
That can be an excuse, right?

Spot on. I'm not being touchy at all. I'm sure the site will get updated when necessary.

I am being touchy. Perhaps captain complaino up there should consider the fact that the webmaster is on this forum, and we here about a bunch of things first. I'm sure he's doing his best.
captain complaino...that's funny.... I am not alone though...there was a post right after mine that was asking the same questions...I am not attacking or criticizing any one individual...Just asking the question. Queations are allowed on the board, right? I knew Mav was someone with an "in" to the band based on other threads...but I did not know he was the webmaster extraordinaire. Had I kown that, I would have PM's him directly and had my answer provided by him.
He is obviously a great guy to have so many fervent supporters jumping to his defense. I stand corrected.
If not keeping the web site up to date is a matter of time and resources, I can live with that. But why, if that is not the case, would the band not want their web site to be as current and up to date as possible?

Con: House of Blues instead of the Odeon :?
I agree with Esthete on all counts. Given our past two experiences at the HOB (in Cleveland and Chicago respectively) I would really like them to play somewhere, anywhere else.
The House of Blues, despite its name, is just so...sterile. :?

Just to clear the air, you can complain or praise me as you see fit. I'm a big boy. . . now, as far as i know, I screwed up on ONE date, posting it a bit late. I have no real excuse, I was on tour and I did forget.
Any other date, aside from that one, has been posted according to a timetable, not governed by me.
Often, what happens, is that venues or ticket retailers, post out of turn, as in, they don't keep to the schedule that I do, so sometimes, information gets out early.
Thanks for the clarification.

I went on a limb today. . . call me crazy, probably already reported, but, I have posted a new show, a whole twenty minutes ahead of schedule.
I'm on your side. :rambo:
