great post, I was keeping track of what songs they still haven't played from YF - I think the only ones that we have a realistic chance of hearing (they are not going to play No Threat or Scar) are:
Cordelia!!
Looking for a Place
Darkest One

Wow- I'll take the above grouping # 29 - 37 (the songs they've played twice)

I'll be keeping an eye on this all the way up to the TO show.
LOL..I JUST did that this morning on scratch pad...good work. I was surprised to see Luv Sic only played once, I felt that would be a strong live song they would play a lot of. Maybe we get it here in the Peg tomorrow.
They haven't played "Last Night I Dreamed...."?!?

Confusedhock:

Best song on WC, imo.

Too many chords in the progression to remember onstage? Tongue
yes, I was surprised to see the stats.
Luv Sic only once! I love that song.

Not many of the same songs get played every night, used to be Poets / Grace / Nautical ect. pretty much every night for sure.
great post Valente...let's keep it going.

Great song. I was wondering the same thing about that song. Maybe the band isn't comfortable enough to play it live but I would think they could pull if off easily enough since they are professional musicians and all. It's not like it has to be note for note like the record or anything.

I've heard some professional musicians make comments that songs with lots of different chords in the progessions are not their favorite numbers for live performance. Not because they can't play them, but because it's just too much to think about.

LNIDYDLM has a bunch of different chords & chord variations, so maybe that's the reason?

It sounded so fucking great at the commodore in November...they didn't seem to be having any trouble..and yeah..best song on WC for sure..I feel lucky to have seen it played!

or maybe it's because it has a crappy acronym. It doesn't have that zip like ABAC or NOIS.
^ right - ABAC and IOD are the only ones allowed.
because those are the only ones the Hip actually use on their set-lists

and by the way - its 'Good Life' not IAGLIYDBTMGS (as Gord introduced it on the DVD).

PIGEON last night!
agreed, great idea....

38. Summer's Killing Us - 1, for some reason i feel that this tune should only be played in the summer months, maybe late spring.

They also use 'DD'... and BobC is one... sortof
^ right, I thought there were a few others, just couldn't remember them.

I wish the Hip still posted the set-list photo on their sites, its exciting to see the actual written set-list.
