....i urge you to get there early and enjoy the entire show. you are the lucky ones on the tour that get a better opening act in, The Constantines. I had the privledge to catch this band live twice, both in small bar venues and they were absolutely amazing. So don't skip the opener or spend all your time in line for beer for these three shows, get there early, stock up on brews and catch this band. anyone who is into the hip would most likely enjoy the cons. i love this band and wish i was going to one of these three shows instead of the hamilton one but i figure i'm lucky enough to be going at all. anyways, enjoy the shows and be sure to include your thoughts on the constantines in your review.

there are 4 songs posted there, not their best in myopinion but still damn good. enjoy.
i'm a huge fan (well, of their s/t and tournament of hearts albums, not so much shine a light) and have seen them loads of times.

actually wasn't one of their better ones...i think.
bry aside, they just didn't seem that into it, even though it was sold out and all that jazz. (the venue is pretty crappy...narrow with a low stage etc...virtually impossible to see even with my towering 6-1 ... haha.)
i think they played maybe two newbies...one was really cool. mid-tempo rocker with steve and bry sharing vocal duties.

where, by the way? i know they're doing lee's with JR march 30 and 31.
for some reason this band never updates their websiteor even myspace so i never know when they are coming to the area. i can't wait to catch them live again.
yah the one i saw last thursday was in downtown guelph, at the ebar, a fundraiser for the university radio station.
and am seeing them open for t-hip in the shwa next week. well, hopefully i can get there early enough anyway...trying to make an out-of-town show at like 7:30 or whatever is killer...

Constantines vs The Sadies...you must work for the Constantines?
I caught the 2 shows in Victoria and can tell you that the crowd was blown away by the end of the Sadies opening set! Gord did a big shout out each nite thanking the Sadies for Sadie-ing...priceless. No offense to the Constantine's but I think the west one this one. :rambo:

and i'm sure the fans in peterborough, oshawa and ottawa will enjoy the cons just as much as the west liked the sadies.
the cons actually updated their site by the way, i think i may head down and grab a ticket for their march 31 show at lee's palace this afternoon.
Great band! Tournament of Hearts is one of my favorite Canadian albums of the last 10 years.
