Yea, it looks like at this time (3pm friday) Main floor and Mezz is sold out for Detroit. I'm sure the balcony will sell out too in due time. The detroit area is funny when it comes to the Hip. Some of the Pine Knob/DTE shows were packed to the end of the lawn but then I've seen them in an only 2/3rd full Cobo too. Palace was about 2/3rd full as well for the PP tour. It seems like its all or nothing for the Canadian contingent...
still some rochester tix left for those shut out in Buffalo looking for a road trip.
not a bad ride, i do it everyday anyway. 1 night won't kill ya.
scottitude Wrote:Something was definitely wrong with their systems. Between 10:00 and 10:05 when I said screw it and bought main floor tix (which aren't GA, btw) NOTHING but main floor was available. Even searching a single ticket on the mezzanine or balcony returned a "none available" message.
Scottitude, why did you say that the Detroit mainfloor tickets are not GA. My print out for my ticket order with Ticketmaster for that show states all the tickets I purchased are GA. My order doesn't state any section, row or seat numbers. What leads you to believe otherwise?

Hmmm... I just checked and could get Mezz1 row b.
At 10.03a, after I got my GA ducat, I checked reserved and could get Mezz2 row a.
Scottitude, if you really want Mezz, call TB back and explain the situation. Maybe they'll do something for you.

Single tickets are available in the mezzanine for Detroit. No pairs are available.
The PDF tickets I was sent clearly state main floor, row 133, seats 116 & 117. It's printed across the top by my name & order number and also on the ticket looking portion of the printout.
I wish I'd printed them before I called to complain 'cause I'm pretty pissed that GA was advertised and I ended up with assigned seats.
I'm pretty sure this will be the absolute last concert by any artist I ever attend. I'm sick of getting screwed by the venues, promoters, and Ticket Bastard. I long for the days when I sat in the cold with a thermos of coffee, a book, and a blanket waiting for 10 Am to roll around so I had a reasonable chance of getting decent tickets.
I friggin' hate everyone who has their fingers in the proverbial pie and wish a pox on all of them and their families!

That's very strange. I checked the three different types of seating charts that Ticketmaster lists for the State Theater and I could not find seats that correspond to those that you have. This leads me to believe one of two things. Ticketmaster's seating charts are out of date or the show really is GA. All of the other rock/alternative shows I have seen at the State have had GA on the mainfloor. I wonder what's going on? I truly hope the mainfloor is GA.

cratch:
My print out from TM says Main Floor GA. Almost any show I've been to @ the State Theater has been GA floor. Can't say it enough though...Great venue to see a show at! As long as people don't get too roudy and stupid up front....
Yeah Hugh, the seat numbers don't make any sense to me either and neither does the notion that others actually have "General Admission" tickets.
Here's a scan of one of my "tickets" with the seating assignment in three different spots.
I'll get over it. But I should be easy to spot; I'll be the stone-cold sober dude ready to take a death-grip on the stage barricade and spew a heaping dose of beligerent flag-on-your-knapsack attitude toward any staffer that even looks at me. :rambo:
Much like the Fox next door, the State Theatre doesn't have a bad seat though, so as long as can shoot some tasty pics, I'll be happy.
yeah, i saw the man they call the Red Rocker at the state theatre back in the day. definitely in my top five venues of all time anywhere.

House of Blues Anaheim
Anaheim, CA
presale begins:

Hmm…Where did you find this? The presale isn’t until 2/23/07, more than a month away?
I saw the 2002 show in Anaheim but they haven’t been back since. I would think San Diego would get a headlining date, or maybe two shows in LA, but Anaheim again would be a surprise.
It was on TicketBastard's site for awhile.
Can anyone tell me what Irving Plaza is like for seeing the Hip? When was the last time they played there? Really looking forward to this show.
Finally got my Denver ticket. Wow, the Ticketmaster site sucked ass this morning. But I have 3 shows to see, so I can't complain too much.
