A coworker just mentioned she heard the Hip will be playing the Town Ballroom in Buffalo sometime in March. Does this mean the love affair between Buffalo and the Hip is declining? I would hope they would be able to fill the HSBC arena, they did a good job drawing a good crowd at Artpart over the summer and normally do a good job filling Darien Lake. Strange....
Either way I am there!
which is declining? the love affair between the Hip and Buffalo the city or the Hip and buffalo the animal?
It may be that by separating the Canadian arena tour from a smaller American club tour, they'll only be carting around their smaller-show equipment when they get to Buffalo. Maybe just a logistical thing and not a hate-on for the mighty Sabres hometown (though they'd be justified. Stupid unbeatable Sabres).

They did the same thing in canada, they did a small club tour and then the big arena tour, maybe they are doing the same thing in the states...
They may do it in places like Buffalo and Detroit where the fan numbers would justify it but I doubt they'll do separate tours in the States.
I say that it's the kick-off of a club tour in the US. And there'll be multiple nights in some cities...
Just a hunch. Really. That's all it is. I don't have any inside scoop on this.
How sweet would a New Hampshire or Maine date be for us Maritime fans?
The time has come. This is the album that breaks them in the America. If they return to the small venues across America and take the music to the people the corporate structure that has kept them down in the States will crumble.

Speaking of Detroit...

I like the fact that all these American dates are starting to appear!

That forfils the US side of things, so I'm getting really excited to find out what the news is for Europe. *prays for a tour*
I also heard that Town Ballroom it is. If what I hear is true, Buffalo will be in for "double" the fun
If the dates I hear are true, they will also be competing with the Sabres who are at home that weekend.
Bad thing is, I will be out of town...please let the rumor be just a rumor. Maybe they meant April! That would be sweet.
Anyways, I am looking forward to the release of dates for the US tour.

Highly unlikely, if it happens will drive.
I find it very odd that they would play Buffalo at The Town Ballroom.
The maximum capacity is only 1000.
I wonder if this is just an album release quick hitter again.
Buffalo - Rochester - Chicago.

Fri/Sat Minnesota Wild/New Jersey Devils @ HSBC. Maybe part of the reason HSBC not selected? Who knows. Nothing official, just a rumor from someone who has never really lied about anything like this before. Tix supposedly $45 per. The dates are open and it makes sense. Time will tell.
