Live: World Contain Her - I just can't seem to get enough of this one live

Studio: Fiddlers Green - Great song, didn't sound great live and the clapping ruined it.
Studio - Wheat Kings

Live - Grace Too
Live
-Springtime
-Boots of Hearts
-courage

Studio
-Chargrin Falls ( and whatever else Gord needs a lyric sheet for)
I definitely agree with all those who think that Wheat Kings is better as a studio version.
First ones that come to mind:
Studio :: Ahead By A Century
Live :: Springtime In Vienna \ The Last Of The Unplucked Gems
Studio: IAGLIYDW
Live: Fully Completely
Studio: Nautical (I agree with ya on this one)
Flamenco
Courage (escpecially the yer faves version)

Live: Blow
Fully
On the Verge
Springtime
Studio: Vapour Trails or Membership

Live: Poets
I also agree with those who suggested live renditions of Last of the Unplucked Gems (Bonner) and Poets (Ballgame).

Definitely. The Yer Favourites remix is great. Much punchier than the original IMO.
Courage is excellent when played live at concerts which I don't attend. The studio version (both the original and remastered) are superb when played on a stereo to which no speakers are connected.

The other versions more or less suck.

Most Hip songs are best live (and some only come to life live), the exception being the quieter tunes. Notice how many people cite the same songs (Wheat Kings) or at least quieter songs as best in the studio. I concur: Wheat Kings, ABAC (especially with that drum machine nonsense in the current live version), etc.

But Bobcaygeon is best live, for the lift in the crowd when they hit the bridge. Gives me chills. That night in Torontooooooooooo.....

And then there's the ones Gord can't sing easily: Thompson Girl. (Studio)
give me live over studio any day !!

I haven't mentioned any new songs because I haven't heard them live but I think "Fly" is probably better on the record for the simple fact that Gord's studio vocals are so utterly fantastic and in the live versions of the song that I've heard Gord can't replicate the vocals.
Studio: In View
Live: Titanic Terrarium, Don't Wake Daddy, Gift Shop, Yawning or Snarling, I could go on all day.......oh The Dark Canuck kicks some serious ass too

This. If any song should be brought back to the setlist it's TDC. I will seriously whip it out and pleasure myself at the March 1st show if they play it. I don't care if I get arrested because my life will be complete.
