Does anyone know what kind of bass Gord uses? I've tried to find pics that might show it, and he never stays still long enough for me to focus, even when I'm front row.
Pretty sure Gord's #1 is a Fender Jazz.
No, its not a Fender Jazz. It's a "Frankenstein", or a bass asembled from many different parts, and other basses to suit the specifications of the player. It might be a Fender Jazz Body, but the neck and all the parts are custom.
Guitar.com: What does [Gord Sinclair] play on the road?

Baker: He's got an Ernie Ball bass, he's got a couple of Fender P-basses. I think he's mostly playing the Fender P.

"I've been on the Bongo for about six months now and have really enjoyed the experience," said the group's bass player Gord Sinclair. He was first introduced to the Bongo in May 2004. It was then that Sinclair picked up his specially-created Bongo bass, with 45-100 Super Slinky bass strings, during a sound check and experienced love at first sound, taking the guitar on-stage with him at that night's sold-out London Ontario
performance.

... a love so complete and overwhelming that he used that bass for one whole song.

I love hype. Smile

Maybe it's like Nigel Tunfel's love for that one guitar in his collection - the one that can never be played (he tells Marty DiBergi not to touch it or even look at it).

For the IBE tour, Gord had this white bass kept in Rob's guitar rack that never made an appearance at the shows I went to. Perhaps just his insurance.
At the two recent Calgary shows he used a G&L bass exclusively, and if I'm not mistaken he's been using it for a few years now.
