I just wanted to let everyone know about a cool group show that's starting on Friday, December 8th. Some of the details are in the press release below. I realize the majority of Hipbasers are in Canada but I know a few of you are located within driving distance of Cincinnati, OH / Covington, KY. It would be great if you could stop by - check out some great artwork - talk a little and have a beer. Feel free to email me any questions if you're interested. Cheers! -Will Ruocco

Press Release by Caren West - Thursday, November 30, 2006

Will Ruocco at Pop Rocked 2: Gig Poster Explosion

Although he's busy working on his signature line for Designateria, Will Ruocco will be showing his work at Pop Rocked 2: Gig Poster Explosion, an exhibition of rock poster art, featuring some of the Midwest's finest poster designers. The exhibition takes place at The Powerhouse Factories' Jim Amann Gallery Friday, December 8, 2006 through January 5, 2007 in Historic Covington, Kentucky.

We chatted to Will and looks like he will be showing at least 3 or 4 of his framed pieces for the duration of the show inlcluding his latest World Party silkscreen poster, The Tragically Hip's Fort York print, and his Chris Whitley from a few years back.

Rumor has it that each artist will have a booth to display and sell more posters and other pieces of art. Will plans on bringing about 25 different posters of other musicians for people to choose from and of course will have a bunch of Designateria goods available as well.

Click here for more info about the exhibit, which kicks off with a free reception that's open to the public Friday, December 8, 2006 from 8 pm to midnight. The gallery is located at 30 West Pike Street in Historic Covington, Kentucky.
