In terms of your inability to grasp the humour, what is there to explain??? He pokes fun of his "country's" limited and archaic lifestyle as well as exposing American prejudices and ignorances. Kinda like Rick Mercer but he's Kazakh...and waaaaay funnier!!!

ya, Borat is in no way overhyped, if anything, he's underrated...he's been a character for years and years now, and just because you're hearing a lot about him all of a sudden (with good cause, promo of his film), it doesn't mean it's not deservedly so...
anyway, yes, this looks to be the funniest movie of the year! can't wait...
also, i hope this means a Bruno movie will be made...seeing as there's already an Ali G Movie, and now a Borat movie...i think Bruno is the funniest IMO.

..i admit i use that term quite a bit, but this guy's been everywhere lately...
