I got caught in the same situation - dragged to see Neil Diamond because my mom really wanted to go and dad said no way in hell. I must admit that wasn't as god-awful as I expected it to be, as the man knows how to put on a show. Lots of very excited older women there though, kinda scary.

His collaboration with The Band on The Last Waltz (Dry Your Eyes) is phenomenal. He has my respect after I heard that one.
