Yeah, it's supposed to be really nice. I don't think there will be a bad seat in the house. Mind you, watch out for the Shwa townies... they bite.
Only out in front of the Coffee time on King St. over beside the refuge, wouldnt wanna be caught there alone lol, all the Shwavillians know what im talking about

This'll be a cool gig, without a doubt...T'my knowledge, it's the first time Das Hips have played the 'Shwa....Of course the bands waits for me t'leave the city I was born and raised in for 18 years t'come play there, but y'know, whatever...
I'm not sure what sort of positive adjustments this new rink will bring to the downtown, here's hoping it does...Oshawa's downtown is among the worst I've ever seen, and I spent a year in Poland...Anyway, although I'm sure this'll get long forgotten come showtime, but when looking for a place t'happen before the show, stay away from anywhere near the venue...
But again...It'll all be forgotten come showtime, right?
(Oh yeah, I snagged 5th row today...Same thing happened, I said best avaliable, it gave me stands, I asked for floors, and that's what I got...Weird shit.)

I worked on a parking study for the "entertainment centre" two years ago and we found that there wasn't sufficient parking in the vicinity for any of the activities that would occur at the arena.
They should've kept the Gens at the Civic Auditorium. But of course, you can't compete with MLSE.

anyone got a map or something?
trying to get some for this but the only options for map are "tom jones," "hockey/lacrosse," and "theatre."
it's two hours after they've gone on sale and 115s and 103s (at least..., that's what's coming up...) are available. but the tom jones set-up doesn't include these sections so just wondering how "beside" the stage these might be...i.e. almost be-frickin-hind?

From what I can tell, sections 103 and 115 are just a bit in front of the stage. Extremely good seats plus the fact that the arena only hold 5500 people minus the floor.
This is the link to the new arena that gives a more detailed showing of the seats.

thanks!
the only reason it worries me is cuz these are the sections coming up at 12:30 p.m....i think there's a chance they don't give a full view of the stage. if they beside the stage and in full view of it, they'd have been sold first.

I was just at Ticketmaster in Oshawa and the layout they had showed section 103 immediately right of the stage. If you're in section 104, there's a chance you might have a better view because of the angle.
I'll be in row 9 on the left floor.

I was only offered stands in the presale too, so I waited for today and got row 16 left floor. I am going to apologize to everybody now because I am bringing my buddy who is a 'shwa native and over 6'4.

after trying and only getting standing room, then trying and being told there are no "three" tickets available (only "two" or "one") i somehow lucked into these gems last night...the power of drunken ordering...
Seat location: section 114, row 10, seats 15-17

anyone know how the seating numbers works in this place? i have left floor, row1, seat1 and was wondering if im going to be beside the centre floor or on the other side beside the seating in the stands. im considering that if i am beside centre floors, which would make me almost dfc, might make for some good video. provided i can get a camera in time.
their website doesnt give a starting seat number. could try calling them i suppose.
