I'm really into tabbing the hip lately. This new album has really got me back into them. I'm thinking about tackling TO#4 and/or As I Wind Down The Pines, if I get a chance this weekend.
Anyone have any requests?
Train Overnight? I think it's the only other song we don't have tabs for.
Also, the "Freak Turbulence" tab on tabs.hipfans is really screwed up. It loads a bunch of code instead of the tab.
Freak Turbulance loaded fine for me.
Any other requests?
Would you be able to tab out any of the songs from either of Gords solo albums? and one I would really like off of CMG is Canada Geese if at all possible.
Thanks
yes any chance you could finish Bring It All Back? The solo is awesome in this song. Or the solo to my all time fav Hip song....Locked in the Truck of a car
a side note question. What scale does Rob seem to use for his solos? He has his own style so was curious what your thoughts are for it. To him he seems to do a lot of the soloing on the high e and B strings

Good call on the CMG! :thumb: I never thought about figuring out those songs!!!
I got Canada Geese. I forgot how much I love that song!!! I'll post the chords in a seperate thread. I'm going to try my best to plug away at that entire album.
The chords for Vancouver Divorce and Lofty Pines are pretty straightforward. I'll post them as soon as I sit down and figure out what key they're in on the album ... I don't play them in the same key.
I have to admit I wasnt a fan of CMG. I have also never heard Rob Bakers project either, just too broke to buy it. But I did buy the new Hip.

I wasn't a fan of CMG right away. Actually, at first I hated it. I think I, like a lot of other people, was expecting to hear the hip.
Then one day I picked up Battle of the Nudes and absolutely loved it. Then I gave CMG another chance and couldn't believe I didn't like it before!!!

I think you should start by changing that. Start what, you ask? I don't know exactly..... but picking up that CD is definitely a good call!!!
A tab of some of the "She Didn't Know" fills and solo would be cool. Also any lead from "Long Time Running"
Cheers
Its funny you say Long Time Running. I hate that song with a passion and my old roommate would put it om just to get on my nerves

It actually took me forever to find Battle Of The Nudes. Nowhere in Saint John had it, and I would look in every store every time I would go in. Then randomly, HMV had it one day
