I thought I would open up a new Forum just to post the lowest prices that the album is being advertised at. This isn't meant to rub salt in the wounds of all you Americans who can't get your hands on the album for a few more weeks!
Future Shop is offering it at $9.99 on Tuesday only.
I don't normally like giving business to FS since they havent given me the greatest customer service over the years, but I have to stretch the student budget as far as I can.
EDIT:
I remember when Hipeponymous launched there were coupons in a bunch of the papers, so if anyone notices some this time around post them here too!
Not sure of the price at Best Buy. I am guessing it will drop for Tuesday at least. But if anyone has those McDonald's Monopoly $2 coupons, World COntainer could be a steal. If they put the price at $9.99 like Future Shop you would be able to get it for $9.38 with taxes

hock:
if you go into a best buy and futureshop has a lower price, ask them at the cah, they will call them and give it to you even cheaper(like a doller or something) than FS is, thats what i did for a video game 2 months ago
that plus the $2 off and you're laughing
haha, really. Thats insane. Best Buy is across the city, so likely not worth the time/gas. But we'll see!
Futureshop and Best Buy are the same company... so they don't care which one you go to.
Check you Monday paper's for an HMV coupon to get World Container for $9.99. They were playing it here in Thunder Bay yesterday. Got to see the digipack -- the liner notes look fantastic. The setup for the packaging is akin to Phantom Power and Music @ Work. Looks great. Can't wait for Tuesday morning.
Cheers,
Pat
Any other Hibasers in London want to meet at Future Shop before it opens tomorrow and have a tailgate/listening party?
Ill be there, I cant wait! Plus $9.99 you cant beat that, my car will be just rocking and I think Ill take the very scenic route home.
I would go to Best Buy but its on the other side of town for me, I know they are the same company but I find the BB stores more organized, cleaner and the staff is way more helpful, plus they have more DVD's to pick from. Anybody else find BB better than FS?

For anyone in the GTA, the coupon Pat mentions is in the Toronto Star today (Mon) on page B3 (the A&E section)...it's only good for TOMORROW (Oct 17th)...while you're at it, the same ad lists Yer Favourites AND the new PJ for the same $9.99 (no coupon necessary)...

I prefer Best Buy for Music as well. Best Buy and FS will be selling the disc for $9.99. I really wish that this would be released on vinyl... Nothing beats the sound of warm fuzzy vinyl.
Any midnight sales happening anywhere tonight? I called around to various record stores today and nobody is doing it here in Calgary. HMV had midnight sales for the new Pearl Jam and Tool albums back on May 2nd, and I figured they'd do the same for the Hip record, but I guess not.

I would love to hear the new album on vinyl...we can only dream. I just got into Hip vinyl a few months ago. Sounds nice...especially the early stuff.
Just figure I'd post this: at the HMV in Montreal, they had a jewel case copy of World Container. It cost 8 bucks more than the digi pack, it was 22.99 I think.
strange...
i got my copy (digi-pak) for $12.99
I got my copy (digi-pack) at Wal-Mart for 14.99... But it was either that or go all the way to Halifax for it. I chose the bike ride to New Minas...
