There is now an entry for World Container at Amazon.ca, but no info yet besides a price ($17.99) and an ASIN # (whatever that is).

That ASIN number is a real let down. I was hoping for more of a return to the ASIN numbers of years past. I personally think Road Apples had the best ASIN number, and frankly, the Hip's ASIN numbers have all been lacking ever since. I blame Bob Rock, the music industry, and Yoko Ono. I'm going to go re-read some of the classic ASIN numbers.

That made my lunch hour a little better :thumb:
humour ... I love it.

You can wear your Road Apples ball-cap backwards and yearn for the Good Ole Days, but I like the new direction they're going in with this ASIN number.

If you read it backwards, it's code for "Paul is Dead"

Whaatttt??? Did he kick his own ass?
I heard if you play In View backwards, you hear a killer recipie for weed cookies.
No, if you play In View backwards, the phone rings zero, then minus-one, then minus-two times.

WHAT?? God, what a GEEZER!

I LOVE the fresh, new ASIN!! The digit sequence is a little longer than past ASINs, but its so much "fun" and sticks in your head! Look, if The Hip want to take their ASIN in a new direction, that's FINE BY ME. I think after all the great ASINs this band has had, they DESERVE to use whatever ASIN they want!! I think it's GREAT!

I've already memorized all the digits in the new ASIN, I've been repeating the sequence in my head all day long. And guess what?! I showed the new ASIN to some of my co-workers who never paid much attention to ASINs before, and they ALL thought the digits were GREAT, and that if they were see this ASIN in any music catalogs, they might take special note of the sequence of digits.

Sounds like this new ASIN is a BIG HIT. I CAN'T WAIT to see all of the ASINs of all the singles released from this album!!!
I like the use of keyboards in the new ASIN! LOL

You guys made my day, thanks!
Best thread EVER!

I dunno. Call me a traditionalist, but I just don't like the feel of these new digital ASINs. I prefer the warmth you only find with analog. Hell, Dylan didn't need no digital ASINs! We need to get back to the real ASIN roots.
Im Sick of all this ASIN debate. We all Know DFN was the best ASIN; though more power to the band for elxploring their ASIN interests.

I Blame Craig from the Odds for the decline of the Hip's ASIN, yeah, i said it.

On that note, did you catch the recent Rolling Stone interview where he said nobody had numbered a decent ASIN in 20 years?

When I was a lad we typed the ASINs by hand. Nowadays, there's no stature to them.
No matter how much we bitch or fight or complain, we can always come back and make fun of each other in a civilized way where no one gets hurt; I believe this means the Internet is maturing... growing hair where there was no hair before... noticing that cute little video game unit in the corner in a different way...

Cheers,

Pat
