and............nothing. I saw them live in '92, and there's no comparison.

Axl would be better singing with a karaoke machine. I think I'm quoting someone here at the base when I say they sound like a GnR cover band
What a douchebag. I don't care how good his Gn'R cover band is. Without Slash, Duff, and Izzy, it ain't Guns N' Roses, and you couldn't pay me enough to go see them. Axl should just suck it up and call it what it is- an Axl Rose solo project. Speaking of his new album, I heard he was still tinkering with it and it still doesn't have a release date. I'll be really surprised if that thing ever actually sees the light of day. To quote Slash from a recent interview: "It's rock n' roll, man. It shouldn't take 10 f**king years to make a record."
to each his own...Slash also did say that Axl's a genius and that the record will be awesome. That's Slash's problem...with Axl you get Appetite and Use Your Illusion out of Slash. Without Axl, you get Snakepit and Velvet Revolver out of Slash. He needs Axl to bring the best out of him.

Izzy did play all summer with Guns. Axl was also quoted as saying the record will absolutely be out this fall.

The Question is, how many of these shows will be cancelled because Axel has a fit or just plain doesn't feel like playing

Yeah, but he's been saying that for 10 years. I'll believe it when I see it.
that's the first quote he ever gave on it...the rest were only rumours. The only other words he spoke on the matter were to mtv in 2002 and he said that soon was not the word to use as to when it'll be out.
This band stopped being relevant well over a decade ago. It suprises me to see that anyone on this board gives anything even remotely resembling a shit about this worthless excuse for music.
They still sell over a million records a year. Their recent UK tour was the biggest selling tour of the year there...the interest level to hear Chinese Democracy is huge. The leaked demos are fantastic. He may be strange, do crazy things and piss a lot of people off...you may not like him...but he is uncompromising, writes great songs and he's one of the great frontmen of all time. You can't question the relevance. Wait and see how the North American tour and the record does...ok, I'm done on this now.
Lighten up, buddy. The fact that I think G n R sucks should not be taken so personally by you.
