Two nights ago, here in the Shuswap in BC, I witnessed the most spectacular thunderstorm i've seen in my life. I was able to capture some great footage and uploaded it to youtube. Its five minutes long, the last two minutes are incredible. I'm estimating there were about 50 to 60 strikes per minute, if not more, lasting for well over an hour and a half. Sorry, no sound on the video.

that was cool..we got it in kamloops about an hour before you did...it distracted me from watching Deadwood!!!

Anyone see the stuff in the news about the huge thunderstorms/tornadoes in St. Louis last week and the huge power outage? I was caught right in the middle. Our power has been out for a week and we just got it back this afternoon. There are still around 50,000 people without power.

Pretty wild, I wonder how many Forest Fires started because of that storm

That is sweet! Some of those looked pretty close. We have been screwed here this year. No big storms yet. The weather has been hot and muggy for about 5 weeks now too.
