What is the quagmire? I know what a quagmire is, but I don't see a soft boggy area in any of the smilies listed.

Quagmire: A character from family guy who always says "alriiiight" in a catchy, gimmicky manner.

Be that as it may, some find it offensive. Call me hyper-sensitive if you like, but I don't see why the term needs to be used as an insult at all.
