pretty much confirmed through my friend who does the booking..

Sounds a bit iffy compared to what I heard.

How confirmed is your source? And where?

The Orange Peel (Asheville, North Carolina)- they played last year there..
He's not a Hip fan, so no reason why he would have told me they were working on booking them. He said they'd be in Atlanta and "somewhere else" down here..I'm thinking Nasheville..

Good stuff! Now I just need to figure out a way to get out of work and down there to see these shows.

Last year there were 600 at the show..
Asheville is a GREAT town, the venue is in walking distance of everything..so much to do..it would be a shame to miss it..

Man, this is wonderful news. I've been without power for a week and the news of the album on October 17 and a US tour in November is excellent. Here's hoping they hit the midwest (read: St. Louis).

This was... wasn't posted on their website was it? Where have I been?! That's the best news I've heard in awhile... right when it finally will be sinking in how much going back to school sucks I will have a pick-me-upper. Here's hoping there's a Minnesota venue they hit....
