That's right rockers and rockesses, The Great Canadian Nobodies have been bringing you the finest acoustic tribute to Canadian music this side of Etobicoke for the past 3 years. They are now stepping it up several notches with a new feature called GREAT CANADIAN ALBUMS.

I'm there....and people should go to Clintons on Monday as well for the best damn improv show ever. Catch 23 Improv, which after years of amazing comedy is coming to an end, I think like only 3 weeks left, so go see it, now!! well monday....
Here's an educated question for you:
Will you be playing the songs in order as you would listen to them on CD? Or will you be playing them in the order of the back-side of the album song listings?
Cptn Trips: sorry I couldn't come out tonight, I had tickets to Strapping Young Lad at the Opera House... maybe next time, I do enjoy live comedy.
Shane: We'll be playing it as if you're listening to the CD. We're not advertising a "note-for-note" rendition, but it'll be close.
NMAS: I'm not going to lie to you, it's definately going to be painfull having your face rocked off. We're warning parents to leave their impressionable children at home.

I guess I must be a douche. You will not get a lot of positive response from people with statements like that, Idiot.
Anyone covering/ trying to copy the Hip is pretty painfull, not an easy thing to do. Face Rocked off, what are you twelve, where is this show taking place in a Macdonald's play area.
I'd vote in the poll if there was an option C. Because well, I won't be there, and the last time I checked I wasn't a "douche." Nothing against you or cover bands in general (for once), but this whole "classic albums live" thing has never been my bag.

Truth be told, I just wanted to promote a tribute to some great Canadian music to fans of a great Canadian band.
Just to clarify the show will not be held at a McDonalds play place due to the fact that you can't drink beer there without legal repercussions.
This is our first concert in the series and we chose the Hip as #1 ... we'll do our best to deliver a quality and honest performance. If you'd rather stay at home and listen to the CD, I'll respect that.
Keep the rock alive.

I do agree that the use of the word "douche" was in poor taste, but I also totally get that he's just trying to be funny and encourage the "yes" answer.
NMAS ..... you seriously need to lighten up! I can understand if you don't want to go to this show, but NEVER put anyone down whose just trying to spread the word of the Hip!!!
Skippy The Wonder Dog.... "Sardonic :Scornfully or cynically mocking" ..... his use of the word was correct in this context. Again... lighten up.
I really hope the rest of the boards aren't like this one! Shame on all of you for coming down on ANY independant musician with such closed minds. The world out there is harsh. I know I didn't survive it. I hate that you're all slagging his music and his concept before you've even HEARD it!
