I doubt they will move there. The Leafs + Sabres blocked it last time. I don't think Bettmen wants another Canadian team anyway.

There's still talk of the pens coming to Hamilton. In today's local paper anyways.

Not going to happen, they would have to tear down and re build Copps, it is a crappy building and not fit to host an NHL team. Hamilton screwed up the design of that building.

It's been reported in the Pgh. paper that the Hamilton group in fact did have the highest offer for the Pens however, they have withdrawn the offer. The NHL supposedly is going to block any move of the Penguins as long as there is a plan in motion for a new arena and the Pens are obligated to stay if the Isle of Capri wins the Pgh. slot license (they will give the Pens a free arena).

Uhh...lets just say that the arena was state of the art when it opened, and they have not updated it. Calling it crappy is kinda dumb.

I'm from Buffalo and moved to Rochester a couple of years ago, but we can go this route if you want:
AHL champs in Roch - 6
AHL champs in Buffalo - 5
AHL champs in Hamilton - 0

And having a stadium being state of the are doesn't make it a good stadium. It's still a dump.

It's a dump? It's not dirty at all, just a lot of concrete and too much orange.

You know what .........It doesn't matter.....If there is ice, and hockey is being played on it, and the beer is cold, all the extra fluff doesn't matter.
If Hamilton get's the Penguins, good for them. I don't see it happening but what do I know. But then it will still break my heart if/when the Sabres move, getting a cup or not.

They are having an open practice Saturday with the new uniforms.

I don't think the new logo looks that bad really (purely as an outsider - I know nothing about the NHL I'm afraid).

I still (after some Googling) prefer this though!

I don't want them to change, can't do anything about it but at least the lettering will be better. The last font the used sucked.
