They haven't let anyone in on anything yet -- it's all rumours.
Also, many times in the past, they have started out on a short U.S. tour before playing the arenas across Canada -- which means, if the rumours are true, they'll be gettin their snowshoes on for a winter cross-Canada tour.
Any way, I'd like them to announce all the dates soon -- I need to book my vacation time!!!

Heard a rumour, a rumour mind you that the Hip could be on the bill at Taylor Field in Regina on October 7th. Promoters are looking for a band or a few bands to play the Rolling Stones stage in between the Oct 6th and 8th shows.

A friend of a friend says Harbour Station here in SJ, NB has been booked by The Hip but won't say when. Any other rumors out there?

I heard that one too...but we are about 3 1/2 weeks away from the Stones, and sadly, there is no news yet...maybe they'll pull something together last minute!
Are you attending the Stones show - Friday? / Sunday? / neither???

Surely they meant south of the border, yeh? I would be very surprised if they had shows scheduled for Australia - they are unheard of there. Stranger things have happened I guess, and if that is the case, I will be going home in a heartbeat!!!!!! :thumb:
i may be wrong, but i think the hip have a fairly strong aussie following, the video for twist my arm was shot at a concert there as well
There are plans for an aussie tour, but not soon.
I don't want to rustle any feathers, but I heard Bookie on 102.1 a couple weeks ago to expect a Toronto date for October. He usually knows what he's talking about. Just more speculation, I know, but I thought I'd mention it.
