I have work and personal commitments as well, but if I have time to download, I have time to upload.
I'm not sure what your comment about your FTP site was intended to elicit from me, but that sucks and I know all about greedy users who don't contribute.
As far as shows you've taped are concerned, that's killer and I look forward to adding them to my collection as you make the available. Dana pointed out that you are probably the taper for the Buffalo show that was most recently seeded to the tracker; if so, good job as it sounds awesome!

at 4:05 pm i still can not login. I was logged in and then i was booted i think.
My ratio is .4 which isn't great but it isn't like I was just leeching off of you.
I will have to double check my list to see the shows I taped I have at least 10 out.
Buffalo 2000 was the first I am not sure if the version you have is mine though. I would have to listen to compare. Myself and another taper were close to each other. I also had video of that but I sent the tapes to someone who was supposed to put a multi camera recording and they were never returned. :x

For the record, I probably have the worst ratio on the entire tracker, and for that I'd like to apologise. I wasn't really sure how it all worked at first so I started leeching away quite merrily until Chris explained the consequences of my actions to me.
My problem is that I have very little to seed (two shows that I downloaded from the tracker) and as I have little to no access to either the equipment to make a recording or the band itself I'm pretty much stuck in limbo.
But to anyone under the impression that I was trying to exploit the tracker in anyway, I apologise, my aim was only ever to download and then to seed all that I downloaded...
any suggestions to improve my ratio would be greatly appreciated as I'd like to be an active member of this community rather than just a sponge!
The only way for you to improve at this point is to seed whatever you have completed until your ratio improves. The great thing about a Bit Torrent site is that it allows users without any shows to grow their collection from ground zero - all a user needs is bandwidth. But that's the catch... those who don't share their bandwidth get cut off. We had a tracker for nearly two years without a ratio limit, however as the popularity grew, more and more users were just taking, leaving a few of us to seed every show for every user. Take a look at the top seeders list and you'll see how far to the positive our ratios are. This situation had to end, and so we have a new tracker with ratio management in place.
I want a ratio ban of 0.75 and it will be there one day... but for now we'll aim for 0.5 and let most people coast at 0.40.
For those who are less than 0.60, I'd suggest working on improving because I will be increasing the limit before all of the 2006 shows get released.
I appreciate that Chris, and like I said I'd like to get my ratio higher, and I'd want to do so legitimately. I just wish I had something of my own to offer up to the tracker!
Your efforts are appreciated... in exchange for your bandwidth, I am willing to offer up any and all of the shows in my collection. You give what you have and I give what I have.

Cool... I don't know what I can host... I'd have to check what I have available, but in terms of seeding, I'll seed all I have whenever I'm online.
Admittedly though, with the time difference, this may be a less attractive proposition...
EDIT: I know I have a 1 meg broadband connection, but I don't know my bandwidth availability or consumption because I'm not very technical... sorry :oops:
