Does anyone know of a good bar that will be showing the World Cup matches this weekend in Toronto?
I haven't been there, but I know Scallywags at 11 St. Clair W. is a big international sports bar.

Also you should pick up today's National Post, as a young, talented sportswriter has made predictions for today's matches.
looks like the place to be, thanks!!!

and are you said sportswriter?
Yes! And so far I'm 1-0 in my predictions. Now all I need is a Ukraine-Saudi Arabia tie and a Spanish win for a perfect day!
who are you predicting to win the whole thing?
I picked Brazil over the Czech Rep. at the beginning, but both are looking shaky.

But it's funny, because in actuality, I know very little about soccer. It's just not my sport. But sometimes, you're just pressed into action!
Depending on who you are cheering for you can head to the respective neighbourhood in Toronto and watch the games with like minded fans.

Who's your team?
I'm rooting for England, I really think this is there year. I know they haven't played too well so far, but they have 6 points. And with Rooney back in action I think they can do wonders.
where would be the best place to watch with fellow lager lads?
The aforementioned Scallywags is good, as well as the Duke of Glouceseter (I dont have the address on me) for the Brits.

I'm not sure how it is for a non-England game, but those two have been recommended to me by someone who has enjoyed the games there.
There's a pub at Yonge & Eglinton (north of Eglinton, west side of Yonge, just north of the YongEg Centre) that is showing all of England's games. There are lots of England flags all over the place and looks like a pretty good place to watch the game with some crazy fans.
