Man I really need to see this song live this week. It is so good, SO GOOD!
The Guelph show was awesome, although EXTREMELY short. I hope they keep it up with the rarer obscure songs... and I hope that one of them is The Dark Canuck.

"The Dark Canuck" is my favourite song. Ever. But I doubt they'll play it live this week or ever again. They stopped playing it in the middle of 2002, which makes me really sad that the song didn't even last a year in their set.

Well I heard a rumor that for the Belleville show is going to be a real rarities. They have been practicing both “Blonde Solid” and “Get Back Again”…………………………………………………
Well okay, its me starting that rumor right now, but hey they have to start somewhere right!
If we only know someone to maybe drop a hint to the band……………..someone who talks with the band on a regular basis……………… someone who frequents this website…………… someone who runs their website………..… I just wish we knew someone like that………….anyone have any ideas who we could ask…………that would be MArVelous if we knew someone like that………… :roll:

We don't know that they won't play this song again. Just because they played it during the IVL tour and haven't since doesn't mean anything. That was THAT long ago....
I don't know why it wouldn't be a staple at their shows. It is the perfect closer.... That song is simply a fantastic song that has that vibe that you know it was written as a 'concert song'
Thankfully I have a few bootlegs from '02 that feature the Dark Canuck, and it's an absolutely killer song. I saw them 3 times on that tour, and I didn't see them play it once. It's too bad they dropped it from the set.
is there any way anyone could hook me up with some live versions of the song? I haven't heard them yet?

I think only one of the boots there has TDC, but I may have just not looked hard enough. The one in question if from Walkerton, I believe. I'd say next best bet is The Hundredth Meridian but it's down right now.

I agree opiated... I would love to hear Fiddlers Green, it's one of my favorite songs! But I know its a pretty slim chance I will get to hear it this weekend. It's not that widley loved...

Id have to do some serious searching but I dont ever remember hearing that song live, Id love to hear it anyway, great song.

I heard Eldorado for the first time live on Sunday in Guelph. It sounded great!
TDC was played 07/20/02 Minneapolis, MN 1st Ave.
I had to track down a live version of this song when it came out as well. If anyone wants to trade/b&p for it, PM me.
