I was rooting for Monty. He had a great chance to get the ball on the green for a birdie put and he shanks it into the heavy rough.
As for Phil, he just wasn't thinking. Earlier in the day he took out a friggin wood to shoot out of the thick rough and advanced the ball about a foot. He was too aggressive today and it cost him. His 18th hole was just brutal because he threw logical thinking out the window and went for the gusto.
oh boy, I'm gonna get raked for this but, the bigger question for me is why do people actually waste time watching such a dreadful sport?

Well, it isn't the worst question in the world. The only time for me to be really interested in golf is during a major. So, about four times a year I tune in to see what's happening.

To be honest...none. I should mention though, that the tv might be on for an hour total over the course of the week in our house (that's being generous).
