So I was reading about Jacksoul making a record of covers. I don't listen to Jacksoul and probably never will but I found the tracklist interesting. They did one original and all the rest are covers. One name stands out on its own.

I always find it comical when theres a joke cover hear and there. If you haven't heard Paul Anka's "Rock Swings", then I highly reccomend giving it a listen. Its entertaining and funny.
the english band Travis does a pretty cool version of "hit me baby one more time"..they also do a beautiful version of Joni Mitchells "river"
Travis' Britney cover is hilarious becuase you can hear them laughing while singing it.

Travis plays a great cover. They've done All the Young Dudes and Killer Queen on various occations (Killer Queen was a b-side I think)
As for something I thought I'd never say, give this one to Def Leopard, only because they chose a Bowie song that's hardly ever covered. I mean, I love Ashes to Ashes, but how many versions can people do?

A Perfect Circle's version of Ashes To Ashes is one of the best covers i've ever heard.
