thank you thank you thank you for posting this. for anyone who has never seen this band live - you absolutely MUST. one of the best light and sound shows i've ever seen...

if they go to the gorge again *i'm hoping they've just yet to release the dates* absolutely see them there!

i'll call my friend at the seattle location of HOB and ask about the gorge for those who might be inteterested.

Couldn't be bothered...but, speaking of Radiohead in the Gorge, when I was there in 2001 to see DMB, I was killing some time before the show and spoke with a security guard at the entrance. He had been doing security there for a few years and in that time had witnessed many big shows. He told me that Radiohead was by far the best he had seen there.

From what I've heard this is the whole tour in North America, for now anyway. There's also some European dates. Basically they're road testing a lot of the new songs before they finish the cd they've been working on. They did the same thing before Hail to The Thief was released.

Radiohead are my other favorite band and I would love to hit some of these shows but it doesn't look like its going to happen as June is basically booked up for me.

it better be a good show, they're charging like $80 per head ............I guess for a band that doesn't come around that often its justified paying that much, but still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what, I don't think there is any way to justify those kind of prices. Concerts, and entertainment in general, has simply gone bananas in regards to ticket pricing. I don't go to too many concerts anymore, for a variety of reasons, but one of those is that the prices are just too stupid for me to consider shelling out my money. Add to that the $9.00 "Convenience fee" that ticketmaster throws on top of each ticket...it's just plain stupid I tells ya.

Amen to that Billy. There's been lots of shows I would have liked to have seen this year and last year, but the ticket prices and the gouging fees keep putting me off. I will always see the Hip when they come near me though, even if I have to sell blood to get the tickets.

I was there ---- GOD IT WAS AMAZING!

and for what it's worth, I hear ya all about the crazy prices bands charge for tickets & while I completely agree - Radiohead is one that I wouldn't even dream of passing on --- that is how amazing it was. Now maybe if I had never seen them - I'd be passing d/t the prices...
but there is no way I will miss it. I already passed it on to my sister in Berkely & it looks like a sister weekend for me!

i love early radiohead, and kind of like the later stuff, but i must have seen an off show or something..it was the most boring uninspired show i've ever seen

I still haven't seen Radiohead live, and the two Hummingbird Centre shows are tempting (I live ten minutes away)...but for $71/ticket? I'll have to pass. Billy is right: ticket prices are getting out of hand. Last year I paid $75 x 2 for two 500 level tickets to see the Rolling Stones at the Rogers Centre; they were a graduate gift for my girlfriend, but under normal circumstances I wouldn't have dreamed of forking over that much money, especially considering where we were sitting. It's come to the point where the only bands I'll fork over to see are Pearl Jam and the Hip; beyond those two, unless I've fallen into a bunch of money unexpectedly, I simply cannot justify it. The problem with escalating costs is that the margin for error becomes much, much smaller--i.e., it hurts a lot more when you see a substandard gig. Last year I paid $50 to see Weezer at the Kool Haus; it was easily one of the five worst concerts I've ever seen, essentially turned me off Weezer now and forever more and emphasized, at least to me, how precarious concertgoing is becoming now that tickets prices are spiraling out of control. *end rant*

As for out of control prices, what can a person do. If you want to see them you have to pay. I agree it sucks, but it sure doesnt look like its going to be coming down in price anytime soon.
