Not this year anyways, they don't have to
All along i've been pulling for the Ducks to beat the Flames, but thanks to Ales Hemsky, that's no longer the case. Flames/Oilers in round 2!

Calgary Will Never beat Detroit......
Uh, you might want to recap the 04 playoffs. More like: "Detroit can't make it out of the 2nd round". That's three straight seasons. What a shame.

IF Calgary wins....that'll be one heak of a series with the Oilers (who are already in the 2nd round).....

ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!! Being the biggest Habs fan in the contiguous 48 I'm crushed by the early exit of my Habs. After going up 2 games I had the Molson on ice. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to drink the whole damned case tonight.

i feel for ya buddy, but they put up a good fight (a lot better than most people expected them to), and they're still (for the most part) a very young team...the future looks bright though, and i think with the right moves during the offseason, the habs have the potential to be a top 4 team in the East next year...i think they should seriously go after Selanne, Naslund, or Bertuzzi...so that when something like what happened to Koivu occurs, there's somebody there to really fill the void, Plezcanek, Murray, and Begin all played very well in Koivu's absence, but none of them could fill the role of #11.

put up a good fight? they lost 4 in a row.

4 one goal games, that could've easily gone the other way...you also fail to mention that they won two games of the series as well, and completely blew the canes out of the water in game 1...if it weren't for Koivu's injury the habs probably would've swept the Canes.
