It seems like the Tragically Hip tour only amongst North America and Europe. Has it ever occurred to the band that they are missing out on the majority of the World's population? Maybe the band just likes the comfort of NATO countries while touring... If the Tragically Hip would be willing to step outside of their bubble, which global countries would you like to see the Hip establish a musical presence therein? We could use some more foreign Hipbasers around here.

I think they'd garner a good sized audience in St. Petersburg, Eastern Europe and possibly the Phillipines. I can imagine Gord would come up with some good rants at those concerts :mrgreen:

only time any of them came remotely this far was when Gord did Folk on the Rocks back in 01 in YK, and Rob told me he'd been to Norman Wells to do some painting. I Thought that was cool. that actually reminds me,a co-worker of mine told me that her husband said TTH would be playing our annual End of the Road music fest this year, I don't have much faith in her husbands information :?
I actually am surprised though that the Hip haven't played far north yet. I know that OLP has played Whitehorse before.

Nevermind world venues, what about untapped markets of the summer tour? How Leiston, NY makes the cut but not Ottawa? That's just plain weird. Don't get me wrong, I'll be at the Lewiston show but they might as well be playing Put In Bay, Ohio. No, if they want an untapped market that's pumping and can handle them, they should play SPRING BREAK in Panama City Beach, Florida.

If they havent figured out now, that when they pack Michigan venues.....its mostly (80-90%) people from southwestern ontario.
And yes.....they could easily play at the waterfront.....or malden park.
