I like them all but I would have to pick Steeplechase, especially in the end with the crashing sound. Amazing!

Over the last year, Chancellor has probably become my all-time favorite song by any artist.
Other note-worthy Downie songs for me are, Neverending Present, Pascal's Submarine and Yer Possessed.

In all honesty, Gord's solo work is almost on par with The Hip's work to me. In fact, some of his solo work is better than most of his songs with The Hip.
Coke Machine Glow is pretty much brilliant in its bareness and sparsity. It's haunting, it's beautiful, it's a little wacky. "Chancellor" and "Never Ending Present" are two of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard from Gord. "Yer Posessed" when performed live is just a boatload of fun.
Battle of the Nudes has some almost 'Crazy Horse' like tunes but it also has "Into The Night", which is one of the best vocals Gord has on tape in his career. If "Pascal's Submarine" doesn't make you hop around, I don't know what will.
11th fret...live...electric...at the rivoli in toronto...watching the video get shot...one of the best days of my life.
Nothing But Heartache In Your Social Life
Never Ending Present, Trick Rider, Butterfly Chase.
CMG is my #1 lazy summer day album.
I love hearing Gord's version of When The Man Comes Around. Would somebody happen to have a copy of the song they can email me? Mine 'twas lost in the move east.

My thoughts exactly. Lately I've discovered what an amazing song 11th Fret is. And Vancouver Divorce never was a secret.
