WHY isn't Elvira Kurt on any of these lists?

Good call! Can't believe I forgot to mention him. I saw him live once in Calgary a few years ago and I absolutely busted a gut laughing. He's hilarious.

emperor penguin Wrote:Drew Carey's stand up is hilarious, he's not really known for his stand up as much as his show. He wrote a bok called Dirty Jokes and Beer and it's one of the funniest books I've ever read. Those that have seen his stand up will hopefully agree with me that Bob Sagget is hilarious also. Norm McDonald was great back in the day. I saw a Tim Allen stand up special about 7 years ago and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Someone mentioned Howie Mandell and I have to agree, his stand up rivals anyone's. Howie on Ice is great. There's alot of funny people out there. A few years ago Comedy Central put out a list of the top stand ups of all time. Prior was 1 and Carlin was 2 http://otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=38909
don't know how the hell Roseann made the top 10cratch:
Can you believe I have a Norm avatar and forgot about mentioning him? I'm truly starting to lose my mind.
I've been wanting to catch Saget's comedy act for a while but haven't been able to yet. He was on Conan a little while ago and was hilarious. His "Full House" character just adds to his legend.

Just joking. I can't think of a woman to put in the top 5 either.
Actually, I have Ellen DeGeneres on my list. I understand that she's gay, but she's still a woman, technically.

Sorry, I missed that. She is indeed a woman. :thumb:

Not to start a big ole debate, but are you implying that sexuality determines sex and/or gender (depending upon personal definition)? Just curious...

I do not have a top five - but damn this chick cracks me up lately.
She is no holds barred.

No, not at all. It was just a lame attempt at humour that obviously didn't work.

Oh damn - I was trying to think of her name - I love her act.
Did you see the Pam Anderson roast? She was frickin hilarious. Speaking of Andy Dick:
"I wouldn't f**k his p*ssy with Bea Arthur's d*ck". [both were in attendance]

I've seen one of her shows on Comedy Central; does she do more than crack jokes about race and sexuality? I love how she makes fun of herself being a middle aged white woman with a black pimp, but after watching the same show twice, I got bored watching it a second time.
Margaret Cho was pretty good before she became the female version of Che with her new comedy album.
