I found this fairly amusing last night: I was introduced to some new people who were from the other side of the city. The intro went like this:
My friend: Sean, this is Josh and Danielle.
Danielle: Sean Bonner?
Me: Yep...?
Danielle: I think I've heard about you. Your the Tragically Hip guy, right?
I found this even more amusing looking back on it.

Back in my day I used to take my Leonard Cohen disk The Future to all the parties I went to. Partly because I loved it, partly because I enjoyed pissing people from other towns off. I was known as Leonard for years. Fighting guys from other small towns was fun. Didn't have to worry about knives or guns or anything. just have a few beers, get punched in the face a few times and tell stories about it until the next weekend. Getting old sucks.

Your first post in this thread was fine except it lacked any relevance or detail. Why did she know you as The Tragically Hip guy? Did your reputation help you score with her, or was it a hindrance?
