In case anyone here hadn't heard, Jack White started a side project band called, yep you guessed it... The Raconteurs. I know besides myself there's some White Stripes supporters here, just thought you might be interested in checking them out. They have a pretty neat website, I like the retro look, its like an old dos program: http://www.theraconteurs.com/

They have two songs up on the site you can listen to:
Steady as She Goes and Store Bought Bones.

I think they're pretty good, Im looking forward to the album.

Anyone else like it/hate it?
very cool --- jack has sooo much talent.
thanks for sharing mr!
The full album is available on the usual sites for those who want to hear. As a fan of both the Stripes and Brendan Benson (the second set of pipes you hear on this album), I'm quite impressed. I never thought I'd ever use the phrase "Detroit Super Group"

Cheers,

Pat
pretty neat site
When does this album drop? Hoping they make a surprise visit to Coachella.

Album drops -May 16th in N.A
-May 15th in Europe/UK
I heard the band ran into a copyright snag in Australia....turns out that there is a band registered in Australia under the name "The Raconteurs" so for legal reasons they will be known as "The Sabateurs" down under from now on....kinda like the Bush/Bush X episode from a decade ago.

RG
there was a show of theirs over at dimeadozen.org last week from europe

Bush and Bush X wasnt that dumb, some band from the 70's with one album. settled with Gavin from the modern day bush gave 20,000 to charity
I dont know how i missed this thread, but this band is killer based on the two songs on their site. I'm seriously looking forward to the album.
FYI: An acoustic version of "Steady as she goes" is the free single of the week on iTunes. It is quite excellent...

Same here, Im really loving the tunes. Everything Jack White touches these days turns to gold it seems. Not taking anything away from the Greenhornes though, they are a solid group and they make a great tandem.
