lol, you're welcome Goulet! I went to Sudbury on a trip in public school, went all the way down into the mine under the big nickel, it was scary. Ill never forget that elevator ride down, it seemed like it was going on forever, I remember asking are we in China yet?
I guess I should go again to keep things moving along, hopefully this ain't too difficult, there's nothing really significant round here...

Ummmm.... LK, that's the nickel in Sudbury. Aren't you a Londoner?

mrlayance Wrote:The idea is to post a picture, taken somewhere in your town, so that other members can try to guess where it is. If you correctly guess the location, you get to post your own picture, and the game continues.

Just have fun.... Who cares if you post a picture from a different town.

umm...London?

This is affectionately known as "The Wheel". Apparantly they have moved it from when I used to live there (until 1990), as it used to be on a hill as drove in to town. We used to go up there and party, and inevitably the cops would come bust it up. It's a huge wheel used in the mine for something...exactly what, I dunno.

No looking at the picture properties either.

Hint...it's in Saskatchewan and was recently in the news for a fairly scary event.
No getting one past you Billy!

This game seems to be going awry, sorry if I caused a problem Lance. It was a cool idea for a game.

Anyway, my picture was of the RCR Museum on Oxford st. Its also the city's local Army Base. Its very old and historic, also a very nice museum. I spent a few years there as an Army Cadet back in the day, and it was great.

Somebody post a another pic and keep it going, it was a good idea.

**and Billy I cant see your pic, maybe its just me?

Just trying to play by the rules you created.

LizardKing51 Wrote:Oops, sorry I missed that in the rules, my bad. But it seems kinda easy considering my home town is listed right under my avatar, makes it pretty easy dont it??

I thought we were just looking for landmarks across Canada and guessing the city. My bad,

You're right, it will be pretty easy for many people because of their address listing. Although Lance cursed me for trying to follow the rules, his other suggestion was to post pics of yourself at the landmark, so maybe that'll spice it up a bit.

LK, even I didn't recognize that pic....

Maybe I'm getting senile.

I noticed, and even commented about your other suggestions.

If this place didn't change, no one would want to be here. The ebb and flow of new and old, friends and foes is what makes this place interesting.

I responded to LK's post, and was content to let it die, having shared my perspective on the situation; but then you responded, exercising your authority of the board by mocking me, and my suggestion that we follow the rules/guidelines/suggestions that you created.

In my opinion that's the problem around here; many of us have reached a level of familiarity with one another that a new member cannot be expected to comprehend. That familiarity allows us to respond and make sarcastic comments, comments that people seem to be taking seriously, when once they were taken at face value.

As LK just posted, I think that I'm...
