What's the alternative?
There is no crime fighting in this situation.
I always figured that investigating murders and charging the perpetrators and bringing them to trial was part of "fighting crime," but maybe I'm out to lunch on this one.
Well, as I've argued before, legalizing marijuana would take a serious chunk out of the bikers' revenue.
Not decriminalizing it, as the Liberals planned to do. That would actually boost the bikers. With simple possession decriminalized, we would likely have seen increased demand, while at the same time production of the stuff would have continued to be a criminal enterprise. Bad plan.
As for this not being crime fighting, get real, clutchcdn. Are you seriously arguing that we should allow people to continue to move drugs, pimp, extort and so on when we have the opportunity to put them away, just because the people they killed here were also scum? You yourself say they'll be "walking the streets again, only to reoffend" ... how about you get your own thinking straight, and then get back to us?

Not true.
"Fighting crime" is a proactive thing.....this situation in its entirety is re-active.
Allocating funds directed towards more units on the road/additional officers being assigned to various sections (Crim Invest....Morality.....Domestic etc)/higher levels of training.....
This would be better use of taxpayers $$$$$, and if definately moreso "fighting crime" than paying what....probably 50-75 officers/NCO's/detectives to deal with the primary scene and clean up with these retards left behind.

Oh, please ... keep it up, this place has been lacking humour recently.
Do tell me all about your fantasy world, in which crimes never happen because of all that proactive crime-fighting, so there is never a need to investigate or prosecute.
Never mind the
proactive element of trying to put people away before they
re-offend ... as you predict they will....
Keep on diggin'!
