I'm actually surprised its been that long since they;ve been on.....
Oh he deals em off,... off the top,... ties em off...
Fills it up,... with his past,... gets carried away...
Oh half his life,... a hand me down,... wasted away...
Oh he fills it up,... with the love,... of a girl.
He,.. he left it alone,... drilled the pain,... money to buy...
How he makes his getaway...
How he makes his getaway...
Oh he chose a path,... heavy the fall,... quarter to four...
Fills his night,... with the thought,... of a girl
How he makes his getaway...
How he makes his getaway...
How he makes his getaway.

Don't forget to heat up your VCR's, tonite's the nite.......
LoftyPines Wrote:What's a VCR???
Well son, back in the day, ah I'll let this explain:
The Tape
A VCR tape is pretty intricate device in its own right, and it's a classic miracle of mass production. It is amazing what you can buy for $2!
![[Image: vcr-tape1.jpg]](http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/vcr-tape1.jpg)
If you take a video tape apart, you will find that it contains:
The top and bottom pieces of the outer shell
A moving, spring-loaded door to protect the tape
![[Image: vcr-tape2.jpg]](http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/vcr-tape2.jpg)
Two spools to hold the tape
![[Image: vcr-tape4.jpg]](http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/vcr-tape4.jpg)
An 800-foot (244-m) long, 1/2-inch (1.3-cm) wide piece of oxide-coated Mylar tape that acts as the recording medium
Several low-friction rollers to guide the tape across the front of the shell
Two spring-loaded locks to prevent the tape from unrolling inside the cassette
![[Image: vcr-tape3.jpg]](http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/vcr-tape3.jpg)
Several screws to hold the whole thing together
When the tape is inserted into a VCR, the VCR uses a lever to release and open the door, exposing the tape. It also inserts a pin into the hole to disengage the two locks on the spools. At that point, the drive can extract the tape and play it.
Can't wait to see the boys on the show tonight! I still think it's gonna be a little odd hearing Lindsey Lohan say "ladies and gentlemen, Pearl Jam."
I wonder if she even knows who they are? Last time they were on SNL, it was one of those rare times where a band got to play 3 songs. I believe the only other artists in that company are Springsteen, U2, Paul Simon, and Neil Young.
