I wonder how many of them answered but hadn't a clue what was being asked of them.
I'm sure Gallup polls are reliable when representing common opinion on social issues & candidates, etc....but on philosophical maxims? I just can't view those results as credible....

Every time you fail an exam, it is raining out.
Every time you pass, it is sunny out.
Conclusion; Rain causes your exam failures.

while only 38% replied "NO"."
This is proof that almost 2 out of 3 Americans are dumb. This country really is going down hill; the last presidential election showed only 51% of adult age voting Americans to be dumb.
