Ladies and/or Gentlemens! The Sam Roberts Band blew the muthafukkin' roof offa tha Monte Carlo @ the 3-mile tonight in good ol' Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada!
I have just returned home and am still vibrating from the energy Sammy and the boys injected into this shit-ass town! I don't know why, but James, Josh, Sam, Dave, and especially Eric were ON tonight. Fresh off the bustling metropolis of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, SRB was primed tonight to deliver their best performance I have personally witnessed in 4 tries (SJ 3 times, Austin, TX once). If you haven't had the pleasure, check 'em out soon.
Before I forget, The Novaks are an East Coast Force to be reckoned with as well. They opened the show with AUTHORITY. Great live set. Straight outta St. John's, Newfoundland! These guys can put on a show. See here: http://www.thenovaksband.com/main.htm Lance: How about a podcast?
New SRB album April 11th. Be there. Amazing!
Sure, after a short listen I am interested. I just need some Live material.

I can't wait! I guarantee I'm gonna be the first one in the store.
Is there any news on the US release? Last I heard there wasn't one schedule as of yet. Any news would be highly appreciated! :thumb:

Just checked Sammy's website, and still no news on a U.S. release. At this point, I'd say your best bet is to order it online from a Canadian retailer. When his last album came out, it didn't get an American release until months later.

Jenna, do you use iTunes? Another option would be to set up a dummy Canadian iTunes account and get one of your CDN friends here at the 'base to fill your account via a gift certificate, then you could download the album from the iTunes Canada store on the day of release.
That's how I was getting iTunes tracks from the US prior to the launch of the Canadian store.
I do, and thank you muchly for the suggestion. I think I may just order the CD somewheres. Do you all think it'll be up on MapleMusic? If not, I'll have to further explore this option.

I expect Maplemusic will most likely have it, as will Amazon.ca and mymusic.com.

I saw the Novaks when they opened for the Trews last year in Charlottetown. :thumb: I wasn't overly impressed but I wasn't paying full attention either. I'll have to pay more attention to them this time. I'll give them another chance.

If anyone can grab a setlist from this shows (if not record them out right) that would be awesome.
Cheers,
Pat
