An email from the Bookie Concert Update:
"I may or may not have a concert announcement on Monday and Tuesday at 3:15pm. I can't say who it might be.but believe me when I say.WOW! I can't even begin to tell you how big the announcement on Tuesday could possibly be."
Wonder if it's a third Hip show? Probably not, but you never know!

i doubt it's either of 'em....3rd show for hip isn't really a WOW...and PJ was just there in the fall, so it's not really a wow either in my opinion...
a david gilmour show you can actually buy tickets for???

Well, this thread is in the Tragically Hip Section, so shouldn't it be a Hip concert announcement? If it were Pearl Jam or David Gilmour I would assume that it would be posted in the general discussion section. I really do hope it's a 3rd fort york show, so all of us who didn't get tix for the first 2 shows can grab some this time.

Also, I heard a rumor that they may be adding a second Depeche Mode show, so that could be it. Considering the fuss that Martin Streak made last night about seeing them in concert, it is possible.
Then again it could be something completely different. I am on Bookie's mailing list too, and I think that almost every other week he has a "major announcement" that I could give two figs about.... Guess we will see on Monday afternoon.
I am with you guys on Bookie being a bad choice to host the hip thing, but I think he does more good than most in the position he's in. Plays some new music, hosts the new music night, is decent to listen to. I'm not saying he's the world's best, and I am definitely saying he was a bad choice to host the world preview, but he's not a bad dj.

Respectfully disagree... I find him absolutely painful to listen to.
Good on him for hosting the new music show and all that... but his babbling makes my ears bleed sometimes.
Agree with you that he was a TERRIBLE choice for the Hipeponymous debut.
That's just my opinion, of course.
