Well, my screen name is not normally "Lance" it is "mrlayance". If this really the only place that I don't go by mrlayance? Weird... Anyway..

Basically mrlayance is what my fiance Lynette calls me. Its more of a lagged out version of Laaaaance. And she calls me "Mr" for some reason. Not sure why? cratch:

My real name is Kimberly but nobody ever uses that, its too long I guess.
Most of my friends and family just call me Kim which is fine..

Anyway, my screen name is obviously a hip song mixed with my age at the time that I signed up.

Mine is explained on my personal webpage but I'll explain here too.

My favourite movie is....Highlander with Christopher Lambert. I've seen the movie about 75 times (no, I'm not kidding). I also am from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia (which means New Scotland in Scottish) near the Cape Breton Highlands that run north from the bottom of the island all the way up the left side of the island to the top.

I use my nickname wherever I go online whether here, other webpages and online gaming. My car's license plate (see avatar) says HGHLNDR and the funniest moment I had about it was when I was passed one day by a bunch of people in a car and they were yelling out the window "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!" :thumb:

Jen, all you have to do is this:

Find a smilie you like, right-click it, go to properties and copy the URL.
Then in your hipbase post click on Img, paste the URL address and press Img again. The smilie should then appear in your post...

On a few other boards my nick is Beatfarmer, 'cause I also like the band The Beat Farmers. Most people call me Beat there, so that's what I use here. On our own board my nick is Pietro. My real name is Pieter, but a lot of my friend call me Pietro

Why Storm. It's not my real name, but sometimes I wish it was.
All my nicks have something to do with Storm. On ICQ (which was the first time I had to choose a nick) it was Stormbringer. Later it became Stormbird (dutch: Stormvogel) and now it is just Storm.
I really like stormy weather, love to walk against the wind. It makes me feel so alive. So Storm!

Mines pretty self explanatory, with reference to my boys! Although I am not a kid anymore, I am at heart and I still love to "go out and play". The 33 is my favorite number, for no particular reason besides luck I guess. My wifes' favorite number is also 33. Pretty neat, huh. :thumb: Also look at the back of a Rolling Rock bottle... :thumb:

I don't know why I chose this name now.... but back in high school we used to sit in the back of classrooms and tap out hip songs all day long and we were once deemed to be "ambitionless" by a teacher so we became 6 ambitionless hipsters... lol
Now, however, I am in University, so the name no longer applies. :wink:

But sometimes, when I sit back and look at the world, and the plights of people, I question the purpose of ambition, or maybe the motives of ambition. Who knows. its hard to be so ambitious and overly hopeful in this kind of world.

So take the name as you will! 8)

A few reasons I guess , Canuck because I'm Canadian . Courage , because it's a quality that I admire . Courage of conviction , courage to step out of societies expected role . Courage to look failure in the eye and still reach up. Doesn't hurt that Courage and Dark Canuck are great songs . :wink:

My name is Ryan, everyone calls me Rye...pretty complicated stuff.

At canoe.ca, there is a hip discussion board (I think it's still there) and I had "the_wheat_king" for my name. When I found out about Hipbase, I just carried it over.

Very easy to explain. Thehip is my passion and the one band that makes me happy. I get lost in the music sometimes just jamming. It's funny when there's people around to ask what the hell am I doing over there....."Jamie, Jamie, Jamie" Can you hear me.... "Oh sorry was listening to hip!" .....and the 11 refers to the hockey number I wear and is also my favorite hockey player, Mark "Moose" Messier.
