I have never downloaded any Tragically hip songs ever and the other day I tried my luck at finding some rare stuff and sure enough I came across this acoustic live song called "Get Back Again." Has anyone else heard this song before? Honestly, it is quickly becoming one of my faves. Truly an amazing and moving song for everyone to experience. The guitars and vocals are so magnificent!!

i found it a few weeks ago. i like how the song flows and it's becoming one of my favorites too.
It is a great song.
Here's a link to some other rarities posted during the "song of the week" campaign in the download & trading section of the forum.

Man, the Hip must have mountains and mountains of unreleased material locked away in their vaults. I sometimes daydream about how many CDs they could fill with all that stuff. Hipeponymous was great, but imagine the massive box set they could put together with all the unreleased & live material they have hidden away. I get excited just thinking about it!

I can't wait until the Hip eventually release their rarities collection...

Be sure to check out "Wait So Long" and "Montreal" too.
And in case you really want to bother Chris or Dana with requests:

I absolutely love the first version of Daredevil on this site, now one of my favourites. I think it gives the song a lot more of an ominous overtone, kind of like "Yawning or Snarling," maybe they changed it because it was too much like YOS? Anyway, I dig it like a sandcastle.

It's never a bother to me... just be sure that you've searched before you ask.
And don't forget about the Bit Torrent Tracker: http://tracker.hipfans.com
I'm looking at a new host for hipfans.com that will give me lots more space and bandwidth... meaning that I can host about 20Gb of files with 1Tb of transfers per month... I should be able to host all of the MP3 shows from thehundredthmeridian.com with 500k download speeds. :thumb:

Bother me all you would like.
I'll help ya anyway I can.
Hmm, I guess I should update my download of the week (or 2 weeks, or 3, etc..)
I love Get Back Again.
Wait So Long is good too. I am surprised it wasn't released.
I'm behind the times here, but I also recommend checking out Blonde Solid. It's another excellent unreleased track.
If you have a chance, you guys should also try and check out "Its Just Aswell". Kickin' tune, it deserve a few listens.
If You Lived Here has been a favourite of mine since I first heard it.
I've also had Waltz for Julliete in my head the past week. Weird because I don't think I have a copy of it on my computer even.
Cheers,
Pat
