Thanks for joining the party srb! Of course, in the spirit of things, I would have waited until the 23rd to share this one! I'm just kidding, I wouldn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth. Any upload is a good upload, and I can't wait to hear another show from 1990! Thanks again.
Here's my addition for today:
Hip Tracker Upload: TTH: 1999-02-08 - Kanata, ON
As you'll see in my notes, this one is probably only worth getting if you're obsesive like me! I'll seed this one and the
previously posted version today, so that anyone who missed can still have a chance to grab it now.

This is from a different source than the show generously recorded and shared
on the hipfans.com tracker by freaked (Trevor Astrope) on 1/8/06. See here:

As promised, I'm currently sharing all of my February shows on their
anniversaries, so I'll seed this for any of the completists out there. I
just finished downloading the other source and compared the first few songs,
head to head. To be perfectly honest, I think that Trevor's DAT recording
is better in this case. This source seems to be a little shaky at times, the
sound seems to warble a little bit, if you know what I mean, and the louder
moments are a bit fuzzy or staticy. However, Trevor's source does seem a lot
more distant and softer, and as a result, the vocals in this version are a
lot clearer and superior in my opinion. Still, if you only want one, I'd
stick with the other one. If you're like me and like to have everything,
just for the sake of having everything, this one is still a decent recording.
I know that this download won't be for everyone who's already got the other
source, but here it is for those who want it! If you missed the previous
torrent, it's still new enough that you could probably get them both, or
decide for yourself which one you want.
I've also got the following shows... sadly a bunch are MP3 (from before I knew better):
1991-02-18 - Road Apples Radio Premiere SHN
1995-02-10 - Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto -2 versions - MP3
1995-02-11 - Memorial Gardens, North Bay, ON
1999-02-11 - Overture Sound , Michigan - MP3
1999-02-19 - Hershey Centre, Mississauga, ON - SHN
1999-02-23 - Air Canada Centre Toronto (2 Versions) - MP3
1999-02-27 - Saskplace, Saskatoon SK - MP3
And although I doubt I'll be able to get it finished before it's anniversary, I'm working on 1999-02-19 - Hershey Centre as a dual cam DVD...
Thanks Chris, I'm actually already planning to seed:

Although, none of them should be MP3 sourced. This show was already posted on the tracker, and I've still got it on my hard drive:

I'll seed it when the time comes. It'd be great if you could share these one's though:

This is coming along very nicely! Now, who can seed 02/15/199 from Sudbury? That's my white whale! My first Hip show, I'd love to get my hands on a copy of that one!
OK, Well it looks like nobody has offered these:
2/23/90 - 2/2/95 - 2/5/95 - 2/9/95 - 2/23/99
I'll get them up - but I can't guarantee that they will all be in February.
I have to transfer a bunch from tape, and some are just for completists.
But I'll try.
And Hairbird - 2/15/199 - was that The Hip's first show ever? :thumb:
The Sudbury show IS out there though - it will show up someday.

Yes. Due to a fact checking error when the Romans first implemented their new calendar, it turns out that 199 BC was the acutal year the Christ was born. Coincedence?
And thanks for offering up the shows, I can't wait!
OK... So I don't know what prompted me to look in a plastic bag that has been sitting under my desk for the last 2 months, but when I did, I found DV and Digital8 tapes of the following shows:
1999-02-17 - Hamilton, ON - 2 angles
1999-02-22 - Toronto, ON - 2 angles
Earlier I posted, "And although I doubt I'll be able to get it finished before it's anniversary, I'm working on 1999-02-19 - Hershey Centre as a dual cam DVD..." but I think I was confused as I don't have that show on tape... but Jeffro, markslog... I thought that was the one we talked about at Holiday Jam??
chris Wrote:1999-02-17 - Hamilton, ON - 2 angles
I have this video - and it is amazing - the first two camera mix of The Hip I ever saw.

You don't have
this one, because I haven't made it yet... the tapes were given to me by two Jeffro and markslog at Holiday Jam.
There's another 2 cam mix out there? Do share it Dana.
chris Wrote:You don't have this one.
Damn that is weird.
The 2-17-99 show is the first ever 2 camera mix I received.
And I got it like 5 years ago.
Still by far my favorite video.
What are the angles like? This one is straight away concealed camera, and front row on Paul's side.
I believe my first angle is straight on, it may actually be a concealed camera.
The second angle is, it seems, up about half way in the bowl, almost above the stage looking down on Paul's side.
The first song is shot straight on - the second or third song starts the two camera mix.
After that it gets pretty good.
It seems the editor was trying to figure out the mix at first so he was hesitant switching cameras.
It's amazing what you can find under your desk, and find out what seems to have been around all along!
Chris, thanks for sharing
1995-02-10 - Toronto, ON
I've got another '99 show up now too, and you do not want to miss this one! If you previously downloaded the MP3 version, grab this one again, it's well worth the upgrade:
1999-02-10 - Buffalo, NY
I'm happy to share, but come on - someone downloaded the 1995-02-10 show and disappeared without uploading anything. I won't be able to resume seeding until 11pm tonight when I get home from The Rock game...
